Control the Computer with your Mouth

Published: Jun 19, 2007

The Austrian company LifeTool developed a mouse for those who can only use their mouth to control their computers. A mouse click is triggered by puffing into the mouse, but you can also adapt your IntegraMouse and link other functions with inhaling. Through scanning you can easily control your computer or house completely.

This switch can be controlled by slight puffing or sucking and is predominantly used as a nurse call system. However, it can also control other devices with one or two functions. The switch is available in several models. LifeTool’s Regina Schlacht adds, “This controller comes with an additional mouth piece, a second diaphragm and English instructions for use.”

The Lifetool IntegraMouse need 10 grams of lip pressure for mouse control and left or right mouse clicks triggered by variations of air pressure in the oral cavity and in the mouth piece. Slight sipping or puffing is sufficient to trigger mouse functions like: Left Click, Right Click, Double Click, Drag and Drop. The IntegraMouse can be bought at Tash and EnableMart for $2100 USD.
