Dolphin Launches EasePublisher version 201

Published: Jun 20, 2007

Dolphin Audio Publishing, a division of Dolphin Computer Access Ltd, announced the availability of their next generation digital audio publishing software. Version 2.01 of EasePublisher now comes with many new features and improvements to support the production and playback of the latest Digital Talking Books (DTB).

EasePublisher and EaseReader, from Dolphin Audio Publishing, allow users to combine text, images and digital audio content in the form of an interactive Digital Talking Book. EasePublisher version 2.01 provides increased support for all types of DAISY books and for NISO standard books, providing a truly international range of products supporting all current standards for DTBs.

Using EasePublisher, book producers, teachers and organizations can produce materials that combine text, audio and images in a single interactive DTB, providing a mechanism that allows total inclusion for all. As the text is highlighted, the words are spoken. The books can be created from simple text files or even scanned hard copy materials, and using a speech synthesizer with EasePublisher will automatically create a full text and audio book.

Steve Palmer, Dolphin’s CEO said: “These latest improvements to EasePublisher and EaseReader will make it even easier to create information in a totally accessible format. Whether it is a full audio text book for the classroom, or public documents for archives, or marketing and promotional materials, these latest audio publishing solutions will allow total access to all kinds of information, in a new and exciting, and beneficial way. The new features and functionality now included in our audio publishing products make it easier for businesses, schools and colleges to continue to benefit from a policy of total inclusion.”
