Dolphin Pen Available in with Different Synthesizer Languages

Published: Jun 20, 2007

The Dutch manufacturer rdgKompagne created the first Dolphin Pen with SuperNova and their Dutch speech synthesizer. Now the Dolphin Pen is proving to be a cross-border solution for its flexible use of screen magnification, Braille and speech on any computer that accepts a USB thumb drive.

The new solution of rdgKompagne was presented on a national conference organized by Visio. Jane Churchward van Dolphin UK was present at the presentation and said that this was the first time a different synthesizer was integrated on the Dolphin Pen.

The Dutch synthesizer Fluency is using Dolphin SAM technology and the Dolphin Pen philosophy where nothing needs to be installed on the computer where the user wants to use the software. Only Microsoft’s Driver Chain Manager (DCM) needs to be installed to use Hal, Lunar, Lunar Plus or SuperNova.

With the Dolphin Pen and the Fluency speech synthesizer, Dutch visually impaired users have the freedom to carry there Dolphin Pen anywhere and use any computer with their own software and settings.
