Fonix DECtalks Classic Voices for the Assistive Market

Fonix Speech released Fonix DECtalk 4.6.3, a text-to-speech (TTS) engine and included the ‘classic’ DECtalk TTS voices and supports additional operating systems. The Italian language was added to the language list and improves the naturalness and intelligibility of German and Spanish.

Fonix DECtalk currently supports the operating systems (OSs): Windows 98 throw XP, Windows CE .Net and Windows Mobile 2003, Linux Kernels 2.2 and 2.4, Mac, Symbian and Palm V5. The wide variety of OSs makes Fonix Speech a broad product that can be found in many industries.

Fonix DECtalk 4.6.3 is available in the languages: Italian, American and UK English, Castilian and Latin American Spanish, French and German. Each language offers 18 different voices including Paul, Harry, Dennis, Frank, Betty, Ursula, Rita and Wendy.
