IntegraMouse Allows Users to Control the Mouse with Their Mouth

Published: Jun 20, 2007

The Austrian company LifeTool has developed a mouse for those who can only use their mouth to control their computers. The device allows a user to move the mouse with their lips and to activate a mouse click by a sip/puff mechanism in the IntegraMouse.

LifeTool develops assistive technology software and hardware for people with disabilities. One of there products, the IntegraMouse is a big success worldwide , thanks to multitude of mouth control options the product has. A mouse click is triggered by puffing into the mouse, but you can also adapt your IntegraMouse and link other functions with sucking. Through scanning or lip movements you can easily control your computer or even your entire house, with the right software packages. Regina Schlacht of LifeTool adds, “This controller comes with an additional mouth piece, a second diaphragm and English instructions for use.”

LifeTool’s IntegraMouse is not new on the market; it combines the experience of several other devices on the market at a price of $2100 USD.
