ScanSoft Speech Recognition for SuperNova with Nova-Link

Published: Jun 20, 2007

T&T Consultancy Ltd., in association with Dolphin Computer Access, have announced the launch of Nova-Link, a product that enables users of Dolphin’s Supernova 6.03 and Hal products to take advantage of Voice Recognition software from Scansoft.

Nova-Link Standard integrates Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred with Supernova and Hal. This combination enables the user to access the on-screen information by using Synthetic Speech only or Synthetic Speech and Magnification (each with Braille support). At the same time, the voice can be used as an additional means of computer input.

With Nova-Link you can:

  • Dictate text in to the computer using a completely natural voice.
  • Achieve accuracy levels of over 90% within hours of starting to use the application.
  • Create reports using your voice while at the same time refer to notes either from a tape recorder or Braille using your hands.
  • Use the voice as an additional means of input when working with email and browsing the Internet.
  • Access and effectively utilize the vast array of tools within the Dragon NaturallySpeaking application.

Nova-link is not yet available in North-America but in England the software can be purchased at T&T Consultancy Ltd for around $500 USD.
