These new services have been created by independent Voice
The first voice applications with varied features were created by developers from all over, from California to India, namely:
- SoundSlam - allows anyone to post an audio recording and the community votes on how good it is
- The World Time - gives the current time for any country
- Numerology readings
- OmniScopes - new age well-being messages can be received
- Ringfo gives the best prices on products available on Amazon.com
- NotMyNumber - places calls to get users out of difficult situations
- Body Mass Index - calculates a caller’s body mass index and gives personalized health information.
New applications are continuously being rolled out and were free to callers till March 13, 2006. Now the voice applications will have nominal fees charged to a user’s SkypeOut account. Revenue is shared by the developer, Skype and Tellme.
