What are "Sip-N-Puff" Mouth-Controlled Joysticks?
Published: Jun 26, 2007
Mouth-controlled joysticks will provide people with quadriplegia with a simple and effective way to control mouse movement and help in easier execution of mouse features such as button clicking.
Movement and operation of this joystick is similar to that of a “Mouthstick.” The on-screen cursor moves in correspondence with direction of the joystick. For example, if the user wants to move the cursor to the left, then he has to move the joystick to the left.
Mouse button clicking is accomplished with the help of sips or puffs on the joystick. This feature operates much like a simple drinking straw.
